MVP is proud to announce that our Civil War triage scene for G.H.O.S.T. was a resounding success! We had a fantastic turn out of extras comprised of talented musicians, hopeful actors, and knowledgeable horror fans. Our special make-up FX expert Todd A. Britt was on hand to apply liberal amounts of make-up to our eager cast. After a few hours splashing blood on one another, tweaking mustaches, and adjusting the lights – we were ready to shoot another fun scene for G.H.O.S.T.. The shots turned out better than expected and the costumes provided by seamstress Angela Pritchett helped make the scene that much more authentic. Thank you all for another hard night of work. Be sure to relax and enjoy yourself for Halloween. We’ll see you back on the set on November 7th for our big finale. Thank you all.
Mutantville Productions is proud to announce that Kayli Tolleson (young Maya) has wrapped her role for G.H.O.S.T.. Kayli and her very supportive mother Janna joined us on the set of G.H.O.S.T. this week for her time in front of the camera. Kayli put on a splendid performance as young Maya. We are very happy with her and we are sure she will be proud of her work in the final movie. Thank you for your help Kayli and Janna! We’ll see you at the wrap party!
The Mutantville Players converged upon the haunted opera house in Albemarle, North Carolina for another amazing night of filmmaking last night. We filmed another encounter with something from the other side last night! I can’t tell you what happened or to whom – but I will say that you will be scared out of your pants – so be sure to wear two pairs when you watch this.
I ran out of ways to describe the talent and enthusiasm we have for this project and find myself resorting to simply telling you that we are doing some of our best work ever. The cast and crew continue to impress with their dedication and professionalism. Please enjoy your rest for the day. We have one more major scene to shoot next week, then we break for Halloween in order to prep for the major finale at the first of November. I continue to feel blessed and honored to work with you all. You inspire me to keep pressing hard working day in and day out to make G.H.O.S.T. the best short horror film of the year. Thank you all.
I’m quickly running out of superlatives to describe our adventures on the set of G.H.O.S.T.. What can I say? We have an amazing found location with the opera house, we have a talented cast, and a dedicated crew. Everything is going nice and smooth. We had a few crew members forced to withdraw from this weekend’s shoot due to illness – but you were all there in spirit. We hope you recover fast because we need you right back on set next week! Those that were in attendance had a blast as we filmed several key sequences in the film including the creepy caretaker Maximilian’s warning speech as he tries to scare the G.H.O.S.T. team away from the haunted opera house. It wouldn’t be a haunted house movie without a crazy guy trying to scare everyone. Things are proceeding according to plan. There’s still a ton of pre-production, prop work, and designs to be completed before this coming weekend’s shoot – so catch your nap and get ready, G.H.O.S.T. is running ahead at full speed. Thank you all for your hard work. We’ll see you on Saturday!

Last night, MVP held another productive meeting with head costume designer Luis Machiao of Machicao couture designs. Producers Geo Swanko and Streebo Majic were on hand to discuss all of the finer points of costuming, locations, and even set design. Lead actress, Kathy Sandvoss, came by to try on several outfits for this weekend’s shoot. We are all very excited as the wheels continue to turn – moving us closer and closer to the start of production.
The producers at Mutantville Productions are running in the red as we continue preparations for the production of G.H.O.S.T. This past weekend, our lead actors Kathy Sandvoss and Scott Thomas met with head costumer Luis Machicao of the world famous Machicao couture designs for a session of measurements and fittings for their costumes. Scott also experienced the joys of casting – and we’re not talking about auditions – we mean alginate, plaster and all that other make-up FX stuff. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to get the life cast that we needed – but we’ll find a way around it. The minds at MVP are plotting our next move now.
We’re working hard pinning down the final location for this weekend’s shoot as well as stocking up on whatever props and costumes that we need. There’s no rest for the wicked nor a guerrilla filmmaker – but we wouldn’t have it any other way. Next stop – the opera house. G.H.O.S.T. starts filming this weekend!

Kayli Tolleson has signed to play the role of Young Maya. Clint Jones has agreed to play the part of Seth the resident skeptic. Dave Tunik has signed to play the horror fan prankster – G.B. Jack Stecher has signed on to play the role of the caretaker – Maximilian. John Sexton has accepted the part of Maya’s Grandfather. Returning from his challenging stint on Devil Comes Down – Jason Wheeley has signed to play the part of Byron the producer.
