Principle photography on G.H.O.S.T. ended two weeks ago – but you would never know it on the Mutantville Mothership. The producers have been hard at work keeping the websites updated, shooting pick up shots, designing posters, and editing the actual movie. The first assembly is coming together and we couldn’t be happier with the results so far. We keep producing new promo posters so keep checking here and on Facebook for the latest designs. Be sure to add your feedback so we know which posters people like. Speaking of posters – here’s a strong early contender for final poster status. It’s a simple still shot taken during filming – but it says everything about the project in one powerful image. What do you think?

We had a rather productive day of filming this past Saturday – productive that is – until we were set to roll the cameras on our finale scenes when we lost all power to the opera house. We hoped it was nothing more than a tripped breaker or perhaps a blown fuse – but after three hours in the dark – we were worried that it was something a bit more serious. We sent the cast and crew home only to discover to our pleasant surprise – that the problem was indeed a blown fuse which was easily fixed. Before losing our power – we were able to shoot two scenes earlier in the day as well as an extended photo shoot featuring our full cast.
With help from assistants Sylvia and Sierra, our make-up FX expert Todd A. Britt was on hand to provide some amazing ghostly make-ups. Their make-up efforts were not lost as we were able to catch the supernatural victims in an exhaustive series of photos and promo shots. Expect to see those pop up as promotional posters somewhere down the line.
The producers of Mutantville Productions would like to extend a hearty thank you to our cast and crew. You all dealt with the delay like real professionals and we were able to make the best out of what was potentially a disastrous situation. Due to the set-back – we have extended the shooting schedule of G.H.O.S.T. to include November 14th and 21st – giving us just enough time to wrap before Turkey Day! Thank you all for everything you do. I look forward to seeing you back on the set for our finale this Saturday!

The producers at Mutantville Productions descended upon the historic opera house in downtown Albermarle again last night for another round of light tests and shot preparations. We spent several hours dressing the various sets for use in this Saturday’s shoot. We are up against a very tight shooting schedule this Saturday which will see us literally racing against the sun – but we are confident that the hours of preparation will pay off. Our tests went off without a hitch and no one was possessed by otherworldly spirits or disappeared after dark – but one can hope. Seriously, if we disappear in the opera house – can you imagine how much publicity we could generate in the media? Just kidding. We can’t let anyone disappear until all of our shots are in the can. We’re looking forward to seeing our amazing cast and crew again this Saturday. Stay tuned to Mutantville.com for more up to the minute MVP news!
The producers at Mutantville Productions were out in full force last night as we decended upon the historic opera house in downtown Albemarle. We spent a full six hours on the set testing the lights for this weekend’s scenes, shooting behind the scenes videos, as well as continuing our construction of MVP’S How-To seris on no-budget filmmaking – the Guerrilla Filmmaker’s Cookbook. We’ve just about run ourselves ragged through pre-production – and filming hasn’t even begun! That’s OK because the harder we prepare – the easier it is for everyone when we’re all on the set. All that’s left now is to put the finishing touches on the costumes and props and email the directions to everyone. We’ll see you all soon, MVP.
The producers at Mutantville Productions have been running around non-stop in their preparation for the upcoming shoot for our latest project, G.H.O.S.T. We’ve been meeting with actors, location owners, and our very own fabulous costumer designer Luis Machicao. This week, MVP went to great lengths to procure a time machine to take Scott Thomas back in time to 1863. We needed a time period photo of Scott in his Johnny Reb garb for his role in G.H.O.S.T. . We’re very happy with the early results so far. We were so happy in fact – that we thought we’d share this special sneak preview with you. Enjoy. Stay tuned to Mutantville.com for more MVP and G.H.O.S.T. news.
Last night, MVP held another productive meeting with head costume designer Luis Machiao of Machicao couture designs. Producers Geo Swanko and Streebo Majic were on hand to discuss all of the finer points of costuming, locations, and even set design. Lead actress, Kathy Sandvoss, came by to try on several outfits for this weekend’s shoot. We are all very excited as the wheels continue to turn – moving us closer and closer to the start of production.
The producers at Mutantville Productions are running in the red as we continue preparations for the production of G.H.O.S.T. This past weekend, our lead actors Kathy Sandvoss and Scott Thomas met with head costumer Luis Machicao of the world famous Machicao couture designs for a session of measurements and fittings for their costumes. Scott also experienced the joys of casting – and we’re not talking about auditions – we mean alginate, plaster and all that other make-up FX stuff. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to get the life cast that we needed – but we’ll find a way around it. The minds at MVP are plotting our next move now.
We’re working hard pinning down the final location for this weekend’s shoot as well as stocking up on whatever props and costumes that we need. There’s no rest for the wicked nor a guerrilla filmmaker – but we wouldn’t have it any other way. Next stop – the opera house. G.H.O.S.T. starts filming this weekend!
